A Sparkler Filter Press is a horizontal plate-and-frame filter where circular filter sheets (paper, nylon, polypropylene, or stainless steel mesh) are clamped between stainless steel filter plates inside a cylindrical housing. Liquid is fed under pressure through the inlet, passes through the filter sheets which trap solid particles, and exits as clear, filtered liquid through the outlet. The Sparkler design is named for the horizontal plate arrangement and cylindrical housing — distinguishing it from vertical-plate filter presses.

View Zero Hold Up FP →Liquid product (syrup, API solution, chemical liquid) is pumped under pressure (typically 1–4 bar) into the bottom inlet of the Sparkler Filter Press housing. The liquid distributes across the bottom of the filter stack and rises upward through horizontal filter sheets. Each filter sheet retains solid particles (undissolved matter, particulates, precipitates) on its surface while allowing clarified liquid to pass through and collect in the outlet channel. As filtration progresses, a filter cake builds on each sheet. When sheets are fully loaded, the filter is opened, spent sheets replaced with fresh ones, and filtration resumed.
